Dave's Book Club
Join the staff and board of First Assembly as we read and discuss
various books that will challenge your faith, inspire growth, and
encourage you in your spiritual walk. We will typically read two
books per year. Books will be available for purchase in the church
office at a discounted price. You are welcome to
participate in our
online discussions by posting comments about the book we are
currently reading. Weekly posts will also be printed out and
available at the reception desk. Let’s deepen our understanding
and application of God's word together.
Sports Ministries
We’re
excited about the sports ministries here at First Assembly! In the
fall and winter, we have a team that participates in a church volleyball
league, sponsored by Hibbing Parks and Recreation. In the summer,
we are involved in a church softball league, also sponsored by Hibbing
Parks and Rec. This summer we are starting up a golfing connection
group. These activities are a great opportunity to
get to know one another, connect with our community, build relationships
and, of course, compete with one another.

Real Men Ministries
Whether you are interested in
fellowship, discipleship, or opportunities to serve others in our
community, Real Men Ministries has a place for you. Our
outreaches and activities run the range from clay pigeon shoots,
fellowship breakfasts with area churches, and wild game feeds to free
oil changes for single mothers, moving assistance, and discipleship
groups. Watch for announcements and flyers in the info center.
Women’s Ministries
Women’s Ministries concentrates on discipling and
encouraging women of all ages while providing opportunities to build
memorable friendships. We want to help you discover your gifts and put
them to use in ministry. Our activities and outreaches include providing
baby showers, funeral luncheons, and meals for shut-ins. We have special
events on and off site, and our Bible studies will help you grow in your
faith.
Alpha
The
Alpha course is a ten-week opportunity to explore the validity and
relevance of the Christian faith to your life today. It is a
practical introduction to the basics of Christianity, centered around a
meal and a presentation, followed by small-group discussion. Our next Alpha course is
yet to be scheduled, so please let us know
if you are interested.
