Connection Groups

"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:18-20

Discipleship is the key component of the church's great commission, ensuring that the individual believer matures into a person who is capable of bearing fruit. At First Assembly, the primary method of imparting the components of discipleship into people's lives is through Connection Groups. Our desire is to take you beyond Sunday morning and into every day life with fellow believers through this ministry. Get plugged in so that you will be equipped to bear fruit throughout your spiritual journey.

Sundays

8:00 & 9:30 am Coffee groups ~ Spiritual Warfare- Fellowship hall

Monday evenings – Church Softball @ Vic Powers Park (2 teams to cheer on) 6-8 pm

Tuesdays
9:00 am Women’s Prayer—Coffee House
6:30 pm Men’s Prayer—Coffee House
3-5:30 Salvation Army- soup kitchen (1st Tues.)

Wednesdays
1:30-3:00 pm Bible Study on the Book of James, Beginning 6/16 ~Contact Genene Redshaw
Summer Sizzle - Wednesday evenings through the summer, see your bulletin for weekly events

Thursdays
The Edge ~ College aged group - 6:30-9:00 pm 1st Thursday of the month - Coffee House
6:30-8pm—Young ladies Bible Study on Esther - Coffee House, Contact Ruth Velo for info.
3-5:30 Salvation Army soup kitchen (3rd Thurs.)

Fridays
The Rev Youth Group meets @ 6:30 pm -FLC.
Golf —6:00 pm @ Municipal Golf Course -Ron Wilcox
Parents with Young Children—watch bulletin for upcoming events & dates.

Saturdays
S.O.L.D.O.U.T. Group meets 9-10:30, last Saturday morning of the month -Coffee House

Pastor Dave's Book Club
Join the staff and board of First Assembly as we read and discuss various books that will challenge your faith, inspire growth, and encourage you in your spiritual walk. We will typically read two books per year. Books will be available for purchase in the church office at a discounted price. You are welcome to participate in our online discussions by posting comments about the book we are currently reading. Weekly posts will also be printed out and available at the reception desk. Let’s deepen our understanding and application of God's word together.
