SOAPWe have carefully selected two chapters of the Bible to read together as a church each day this year. Doing daily devotions trains us to think differently and transforms the mind. Journaling is an excellent way to record and process what God has spoken to us. Without writing it down, you may forget those blessings and some very important lessons. Scripture - Take time reading and allow God to speak to you. Look for a verse that particularly sticks out to you today and write it in your journal.Observation - What do you think God is saying in this scripture? Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you and reveal Jesus to you. Application - Personalize what you have read by asking yourself how it applies to your life right now. Perhaps it is instruction, encouragement, a new promise, or correction for a particular area of your life. Prayer - This can be as simple as asking God to help you use this scripture or you can write down your prayer. Remember, prayer is a two way conversation, so be sure to listen to what God has to say!
